KETSO traveled to Sherbro Island Bonthe for a feasibility study. Two town lots of land were made aviable by Dr. Peter Tucker to plant 60 Mahogany Trees (Khaya Senegalensis). The trees grow very well but the logistical problems of supporting a nursery of Bonthe became apparant. There is no mobile phone coverage on the island and it is quite expensive to transport goods to support the nursery. The trees will be maintained and protected for seed purposes.
